What are SaaS development services?

SaaS (software as a service) development services cover planning, building and running a web application that customers use through a browser and pay for by subscription. A SaaS platform is multi-tenant: one codebase serves many customer companies, each with its own users, data and settings, and it needs billing, security and monitoring built in.
