The basics

What is workflow automation?

Workflow automation uses software to move information and trigger actions between business tools without manual work. For example, when a lead fills a form it is added to the CRM, assigned to a salesperson, sent a WhatsApp reply and logged in a report. Adding AI lets automations also read emails, documents and messages and decide what to do next.

We use no-code platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier) when they fit, and write custom code when reliability, volume or data privacy require it. Older RPA tools are losing ground to this approach.

How much does workflow automation cost?

Tool subscriptions (n8n, Make, Zapier) are extra and often small.

n8n, Make or Zapier: which is best?

Zapier is easiest, Make is flexible and cost-effective, and n8n can be self-hosted for privacy and volume. We recommend based on your needs.

Is this the same as RPA?

Similar goal, different method. RPA mimics clicks on screens; we connect systems directly through APIs and add AI where judgement is needed, which is usually more reliable.

What happens if an automation breaks?
